Salvatore's Out Pizzas The Hut!
The Geneva building is super special to Salvatore's Pizza Founder SoccerSam Fantauzzo. This will be the company's first conversion of a former Pizza Hut building. Fantauzzo loves the history of the iconic Pizza Hut building. Architect and artist Richard D. Burke created this in 1969 and then it became famous nationwide as the symbolic Pizza Hut roof for the brand's 6300 locations. The Smithsonian National Museum of American History even featured Pizza Hut in its “Inventing in America” exhibit. Today, most of the buildings are gone or the roofs have been modified.
“We all went to Pizza Hut throughout the 70’s and 80’s, and even took my wife on dates to the one on E. Ridge Rd back in the day,” said Fantauzzo. “We don’t look at Pizza Hut as a competitor today, but we honor the history of one of the original pizza chains and the first to have iconic buildings. We made it our version by painting it HOT PINK!”

The Salvatore’s Pizza Family is known for preserving Rochester History:
•2009: they moved their Ridge Clinton location into Rochester’s original Disco Bar at The Garage Door.
•2010: they saved and added Donuts Delite to the Salvatore’s full menu. They brought this Rochester landmark back to life with the original donut recipes.
•2011: they brought back Rochester’s original pro soccer team the Rochester Lancers. The Lady Lancers and Lancers youth also wore the original 1967 logo with pride.
•2007: The Donut Box on E. Ridge Rd was saved and converted into a Salvatore’s Full Menu location.
•2014: Arthur Treacher’s Fish & Chips was brought back to Rochester by Team Salvatore’s.
•2015: Salvatore’s saved the 1872 Cafe on W. Main St. The cafe is a tribute to Susan B Anthony.
•2025 the Geneva Salvatore’s Pizza Pub will feature the famous Pizza Hut roof with a Pink twist.
