National Donut Day is held annually on the first Friday of June. The Salvation Army started Donut Day back in 1938 during the Great Depression, to honor the "Donut Lassies" who served donuts to soldiers on the frontline of WWI. National Donut Day is celebrated yearly, to bring awareness to the millions of people that the Salvation Army services each year.

The Salvation Army of Greater Rochester also partners with Donuts Delite yearly on National Donut Day to deliver complimentary donuts to local fire departments, emergency care centers, and other community service locations.

"We are so excited to celebrate National Donut Day and once again partner with the Salvation Army," said Nick Semeraro, Owner/Operator of Donuts Delite, "The Apple Fritter A La Mode is a fan-favorite donut, and we are excited to celebrate another Donut Day with Rochester."

Donuts Delite opens at 6AM on Friday, June 6th and will have Apple Fritter A La Modes ready to go! They will be served all day for free, one per customer with any purchase, while supplies last.
