The Salvatore’s Pizza Family is celebrating 44 Years in business on Today, July 5, 2022.

Salvatore’s started as an Eastridge High School project in 1978 by 17 year old Salvatore “SoccerSam” Fantauzzo.

Today there are 33 Salvatore’s locations and outlets. Most locations are owned and operated by former employees including former delivery drivers and pizza box makers.

SoccerSam and his wife Linda have donated monies yearly to several Rochester based nonprofits and youth sports teams on behalf of Salvatore’s Pizza.

This year the Fantauzzo’s have chosen the Northeast Quadrant Advanced Life Support (NEQALS).


This organization helped save SoccerSam’s life in July of 2009 after a botched surgery. This past December both Fantauzzo’s needed NEQALS services when suffering from severe Covid Symptoms. “NEQALS also helped our daughter Roxanna get to the hospital on time during a snowstorm on February 3, 2022 to deliver Carmine Gaetano, our tenth grandchild.” said Linda Fantauzzo.

Ahmed Mustafa is the President of NEQALS and a longtime friend of the Fantauzzo’s. “Ahmed and his team work hard daily saving people, without much financial support” said SoccerSam. “I always assumed my yearly property tax payment included these type of services but it doesn’t. I urge all my Cuggi’s to show some love for all EMS professionals.”

"We are honored to have been selected by Sam, Linda and Salvatore's for this donation," said Ahmed Mustafa "We will use it to spread the word about the value Emergency Medical Services bring to communities throughout New York and the help we need to continue to be able to provide these life saving services."

The Fantauzzo's Private Donation will be made today, July 5th, Salvatore’s 44th Anniversary Celebration!
